The purpose of LINK is to share home-cooked, nutritious meals with kindness in a safe and welcoming environment with families, the homeless, hungry, lonely, physically or mentally disabled, and the poor.
We can use 3 kinds of help:
- Volunteer in person: Beginning in March, 2023 folks who are comfortable working in the LINK kitchen & dining room are invited to help prep and serve on our LINK day.
- Cook / purchase food: We need folks to bring to desserts and casseroles. [We will arrange for contactless pick up from anyone who is not comfortable or able to deliver their items - just make a note in the comment section.]
- Donate to the LJCC to support the purchase of fruit, vegetables and bottled water. You can donate online or mail a check to the LJCC.
Sign up here.
Thank you for your help supporting this crucial program!

NovNovember 16 , 2025The Magic Eye: Healing, Spirit, and Community: A reading and discussion with Caryn Mirriam-Goldberg (Hybrid)
Sunday, Nov 16th 4:00p to 5:30p
The Magic Eye: A Story of Saving a Life & a Place in the Age of Anxiety focuses on the healing power of place and community in unfolding Caryn’s journey through a rare and dangerous eye cancer intertwined with Ken and Caryn finding a way to save the family land where they live after 35 years of effort. This memoir speaks to being part of an eco-community, human community, and especially the Lawrence Jewish Community Congregation, which Caryn will read and speak about, highlighting how her story, like many of ours, is also a spiritual excursion into finding new ways to see the world and belong to a community.
