The Lawrence Jewish Community Congregation is seeking teachers for its Religious School Program. We are an artistic, unique, and close-knit school community that thrives on helping each other, learning together, expressing our individuality, and fostering healthy relationships.  We pay our teachers $20/hour for roughly three hours a week.  We meet on Sundays from 10-12pm and an hour of plan time is covered per week. 

1. Hebrew teachers for ages 5-12
2. Visual Arts-based Judaica learning for ages 5-12
3. We are also seeking to connect B'nei mitzvah tutors with parents/children in our community.

Event Staff

We are seeking an hourly, part-time employee for event staffing. The event staff person will report to the Program and Engagement Director and work closely with volunteers. Events includes those such as Friday night Shabbat services and Saturday Torah services, other Jewish holidays, and secular events hosted by the LJCC.  Duties include:

• Preparing space for events
• Setting up and monitoring zoom for hybrid events
• Setting up A/V system
• Assisting guests, oneg sponsors (volunteers providing food for the event) or caterer 

• Working under the supervision of the Security coordinator to assist with security-related concerns

Hourly rate: $15 • Between 12 and 20 hours a month
