Jack & Susan lead services in honor of beloved member Herb Friedson's birthday. In addition to being a longterm LJCC member, Herb is the talented enamel artist who created our iconic Tree of Life sculpture & the sanctuary's Aron Kodesh (the ark). We hope that all will attend to celebrate Herb on this occasion. Potluck contributions are strongly encouraged to make this a particularly convivial oneg.

In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the LJCC invites you to join KU Professor of Education Anna Yonas in a frank surveyance of the landscape of genocide education in the U.S. Dr. Yonas will discuss her research into the state of contemporary genocide education and the challenge of preparing future educators to teach tough subjects in this increasingly fraught political era.
