Summary |
Your year-end tax-deductible gift enables the LJCC to continue our engaging programming; to keep our members safe and connected; and to fulfill our mission of providing a pluralistic, egalitarian, and inclusive space for the Jewish people of Lawrence to worship, socialize, and learn.
You can support the LJCC while maximizing the tax-implications of your gift by using your IRA or by initiating gifts of stock or other securities. *
If you are 70½ or older, under the IRA Charitable Rollover Law, you are able to give up to $100,000 to the LJCC by making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). Such a donation counts toward the required IRA minimum withdrawal amounts for the year of the gift.
Giving appreciated stocks, bonds, or mutual fund shares held more than one year can provide immediate benefit to the LJCC. Moreover, such gifts may result in a double tax benefit by avoiding capital gains taxes and by claiming an immediate deduction.
